Employment agency look for a replacement of workplace agreement

A north-west Victorian employment firm will request the national employment regulator to decrease wages and conditions, even though the staff has decline the idea. 40 staff is facing redundancy after a ballot on Thursday voted down a company offer to decrease wages and conditions.

Scott Bryden, says the current workplace agreement pays up to 30% and it is not sustainable. I am expecting that Fair Work Australia will review at our payroll and our current liabilities and return the normal wage to what the other 90% of people in our industry are paying.

Scott says, the CEO, did speak one employee she could retain her job if she voted yes, and it's a very hard on someone to put a staff member in and it's illegal, she said. The union is hoping that Fair Work Australia will try and resolve the dispute.
