Scott says, the CEO, did speak one employee she could retain her job if she voted yes, and it's a very hard on someone to put a staff member in and it's illegal, she said. The union is hoping that Fair Work Australia will try and resolve the dispute.

The number of jobs advertised in major newspapers and online grow by 6% in December

The complete job ads averaged 149,063 a week, with newspaper job ads lift by 11.6% and internet job ads grow by 5 %, an ANZ survey shows.

ANZ acting chief economist said total job advertisements have regain from the recent low in July 2009 as they continue to improve each month.

Postal workers will walk off the job this morning over an unfinished argument with Australia Post.

The CEPU says the strike is part of a continuous movement that includes bans on overtime, sorting parcels, and checking postage.
Australia Post says only 25% of its employees are planning to walk off the job and the interruption should be minor.

South Australia unemployed rate still less than national rate

The official unemployed rate in South Australia rise up to 0.2% in November, to 5.5% periodically adjusted. It is less than the national rate of 5.7%.
